Servo turret manufacturer explains in detail the structural characteristics of CNC lathes
May 30,2022
Servo turret manufacturers believe that CNC lathes are widely used equipment in manufacturing and processing industries. Mainly used for cutting inner and outer cylindrical surfaces of shaft or disc parts, inner and outer conical surfaces of arbitrary cone angles, complex rotating inner and outer curved surfaces, cylindrical and conical threads, etc. Can be used for slotting, drilling, reaming, and boring. Let's take a look at the structural characteristics of CNC lathes:
Firstly, the servo turret manufacturer believes that due to the two directions of the turret being driven by two servo motors, the transmission chain is relatively short. There is no need to select transmission components such as variable speed gears and light rods. The servo motor is directly connected to the screw to drive the tool holder to operate. Servo motor screws can also be connected through synchronous belt pairs or gear pairs. The main drive and feed drive are separated. The main drive and feed drive use independent servo motors, making the transmission chain simpler and more stable. Meanwhile, each motor can move independently or be linked with multiple axes. Automatic tool changing adopts an automatic rotating tool holder, which can automatically change the tool during the processing and carry out sequential production and processing of multiple processes.
2. The servo turret manufacturer believes that the multifunctional CNC lathe adopts a DC or AC spindle control unit to drive the spindle, and performs continuously variable speed according to control instructions, without the need for multi-stage gear pairs between the spindles. In order to expand the speed range, a first gear pair is usually used for step-by-step stepless speed regulation. Nevertheless, the structure in the spindle box is much simpler than that of traditional lathes. Another structural advantage is high rigidity, which matches the high-precision control of the control system to adapt to high-precision production and processing. High spindle speed ensures safe and stable clamping of workpieces. Most of them use hydraulic chucks, which can easily adjust the clamping force and reduce the difficulty of the operator's work.
Thirdly, the structural advantage is light and smooth. Servo turret manufacturers believe that ball screw pairs are usually used for turret movement. Ball screw pair is one of the important transmission components of CNC lathe. The rotating bearings installed at both ends of the ball screw are special uranium bearings, with a pressure angle much greater than that of ordinary radial thrust ball bearings. This special bearing is installed in conjunction and optional. It is recommended to have a pair of bearings when leaving the factory.
Fourthly, in order to achieve smooth and effective lubrication, oil mist automatic lubrication is mostly used.
Fifth, servo turret manufacturers believe that due to the high price of CNC machine tools, long service life of control systems, and the need for good wear resistance of sliding guides. Usually, steel embedded guide rails are used to maintain the accuracy of the machine tool for a long time, greatly extending its service life.
Sixth, servo turret manufacturers believe that CNC lathes also have advantages such as sufficient cooling and meticulous protection in production and processing. When they run automatically, they are usually in a fully enclosed or semi enclosed state.
